The name Butter PR was perhaps first inspired by an early classroom experiment by co-founder, Tracy Johnston. At 12-years of age Tracy and a small group of class mates mixed a generous portion of fresh cream with more than just a pinch of salt. This was followed by a particularly vigorous shaking of the small glass jar by each student. With the lid now tightly fixed the jar was placed into a cool, dark room. The anticipation was almost more than Tracy could bear, however after several days, and much to Tracy's delight, she retrieved a jar of smooth, creamy, delicious 'butter'. This was Tracy's first foray into the magical world of 'product transformation'.
In the same way, Butter PR uses a simple blend of ingredients, mixed with ingenuity and enthusiasm, to create unique brand experiences and product transformations for business. Commercially, the word 'butter' adapts itself well to and identifies with a number of segments in which the business has particular expertise - fine dining restaurants and bars, food and cultural festivals, designer fashions and five-star luxury hotels and resorts. For brand puritans 'Butter' offers a short, succinct and quirky recall.
